The online application process involves three steps:
- You will be asked to log in to an existing account or to set up a new account with imca.org.
- You will be asked for additional demographic information.
- You will be asked for payment information in a secure online environment.

The cornerstones of IMCA are the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM certification and the Certified Private Wealth AdvisorSM—or CPWA®—designation. The CIMA certification, which reflects experience, education, examination, and ethical standards, integrates a complex body of investment knowledge to provide objective investment advice to individuals and institutions. That knowledge is applied systematically and ethically to assist clients in making prudent investment decisions. The CPWA designation facilitates an advanced expertise in the life cycle of wealth: accumulation, preservation, and distribution. This program offers advanced financial education designed for experienced financial advisors and consultants who work with high-net-worth clients. IMCA’s certification programs only are offered through the top business schools in the country: The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
