How the Crisis has Changed Investment Strategy
Richard Marston, PhD, The Wharton School
Dr. Marston will consider how the crisis has changed attitudes toward diversification, how liquidity has become a major factor in allocating assets, and how investors are modifying spending strategies. Dr. Marston also will report findings from a survey currently being completed by Wharton and the Institute for Private Investors investigating a group of family offices with ultra-high-net-worth investors to see how the crisis is affecting investment strategies.

CPWA Designation Program Enrollment Deadline Extended
Enrollment deadline is Friday, March 12, 2010!
There is still time to apply for IMCA's next Certified Private Wealth AdvisorSM (CPWA®) designation program, but there are only a few seats left. The CPWA designation is an advanced credential created specifically for wealth managers and advisors who work with high-net-worth clients on the life cycle of wealth: accumulation, preservation, and distribution. Candidates who earn this designation learn to identify and analyze challenges facing high-net-worth clients and learn to develop specific strategies to minimize taxes, monetize and protect assets, maximize growth, and transfer wealth. Pre-study commences in mid-March 2010, and the in-class program will be held September 20–24, 2010, at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
